My next tattoo

So, I've been thinking a lot about my next tattoo. My initial idea was to get a green version of the original Return of the Jedi one-sheet, only without the border or text. Tina didn't like it, though, and the way I see it, my wife should like whatever I choose to permanently affix to my skin. She said it was too cliche, too phallic, and the lightsaber effect doesn't translate well to tattoos. In fact, I'd never actually seen the tattoo on anyone else (although further research shows it's been done at lease once), and Tina thinks everything's phallic. But she did sell me on the lightsaber effect difficulties.

What I want is basically something that symbolises the entire Star Wars saga in one simple image. I think the lightsaber does that well. My next thought, though, was what about Artoo? I have an Artoo-Detoo figure on my desk at work, and the character also stands as a symbol of Star Wars lore. But I wanted a Clone Wars Artoo. It makes sense, after all, because it'd be easier to draw, it's a simpler design, and I really like Tartakovsky's style. Unfortunately, there's only one full body shot of Artoo from the Clone Wars, and it's backwards.

My next idea was, of course, Yoda. Specifically, Clone Wars Yoda, for all the same reasons. The problem here is that it's so cliche. I've seen lots of Yoda tattoos, and most of them are from Clone Wars. Plenty of those are the Yoda pose I'd want, too. On the other hand, I could get a more realistic Yoda, but realism is harder to get right and probably costs more.

I dunno. What about a Yoda action figure? That'd be unique. I've always loved my vintage Yoda figure. I still have him, too. All his accessories are lost, of course, and the paint's worn off a bit. But it's a good figure. I should talk to Tina and see what she thinks.
